About Daniel&Esther

daniel & esther

Daniel works in the consumer electronics industry but hopes to one day own a cafe. Like most Hainanese men, he can whip up a storm in the kitchen and is constantly invited to other people's house parties... to cook for them.

Esther works for a major airline by day, and bakes incessantly by night. Trained as a chemical engineer, she puts that knowledge to good use - by reading package labels to see if it's good for you.

This Is What I Call A Steak

By daniel | April 3, 2008

Yup, Esther ordered this whopping hunk of meat known as Mega Cut Natural Prime Rib from Hogsbreath Cafe (we went to the outlet in Dandenong, Australia). Extremely tender and flavourful, this ranks as THE CHOICE for carnivores (compare the size of the meat to the corn-cob). Thanks to cousin Richie for picking up the tab!

Now to head to the Hogsbreath at CHIJMES in Singapore to see if the quality’s the same. Anybody wanna join us?

I’ve tried Hogsbreath in both Australia (Darwin) and Singapore (the Holland Vee outlet).

    The Australian version was larger.

Diligent? If only…we’re probably blogging less than a quarter of the yummy stuff we have eaten! Definitely! Let me know when he gets back. He and Daniel probably have lots to talk about WOW (and we can eat more while they’re distracted…haha).
